Phil Ivey playing Chinese Poker on the plane for $10,000 a point (or so hopes Barry!)
By way of Poker Road.
From How Much Does The Guy With Aces Have Left? comes a tail of Chinese Poker from Daniel.
It also helped that Chinese Poker was very good to me as I won 76k during the ride. As per our agreement, I (the big winner) had to pay for Howard’s (the big loser) flight which was fine by me! I don’t what it is about Chinese Poker, but lifetime, I run so good at that game it’s incredible and I’m absolutely certain that I don’t play perfectly.
It just doesn’t matter that much, the game is all luck if you have half a brain.
Well I might disagree with the statement that the game is all luck if you have half a brain although the edge between a good player and a great player is most likely very small.

On Thursday night I went to Roland De Wolfe’s suite at the “Wynn” to
play Chinese poker for $500 a point. I should have gone to bed as I
felt a bit sick, and I was super tired. We ended up playing in the Wynn
poker room for a few hours (I lost $5,500)…
Maybe Phil should buy a copy of my application for the iPhone?
And I didn’t even know they had Chinese Poker! Oh – it was setup in a private room.

Four men indicted Thursday in a high-tech gambling scheme rented a room at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa to host private, high-stakes games of Chinese poker, backgammon and chess, authorities say. They rigged a nearby room with surveillance equipment and computers to cheat a high-roller out of tens of thousands of dollars.
Wonder what the cleaning staff thought when they saw the surveillance equipment in the room?
